2.05 Run (including a Virtual option)

The 2.05 Run is back! Join us for our 8th annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 29 or participate virtually to support Rockford Public Schools Athletics!

 6-6:30 p.m.

Join us Saturday, May 29, 2021 on the corner of Market and State streets (the City Market Pavilion) in downtown Rockford! Our race will start between 6 and 6:30 p.m. You will be assigned a wave with your exact start time at packet pick-up. Our course is exactly 2.05 miles long. Walkers and strollers are welcome! After you complete the race, head to Prairie Street Restaurant to receive a complimentary drink and slice of pizza! All in-person runners will receive a T-shirt, swag bag, and drink/food tickets. This year, all results will be posted online and awards will be distributed through the mail or can be picked up the following week at the Rockford Public Schools Administration Building, 501 7th St. 

COVID-RELATED RESTRICTIONS AND DISCLAIMERS

• All participants will be required to sign a waiver before starting the race.
• All participants will be required to wear a mask in the race staging area as well as at the start and finish line.
• All participants will be asked to social distance when possible.
• Participants cannot register the day of the event. Registration closes at 6 p.m. on May 28.
• Race packets must be picked up ahead of May 29. There will be NO packet pick-up on race day.
• In an effort to avoid crowding, there will be no formal post-race awards ceremony.

Virtual Race

Now - May 28, 2021

Join us virtually! Register online, then walk or run 2.05 miles on any course you'd like between now and May 28. This could be our downtown route, on a treadmill, or even in your neighborhood. After you complete your timed run, submit your results right here on this webpage. Live results will be posted as they come in. Every virtual run participant will receive a 2.05 Run T-shirt, which can be picked up at Fleet Feet of Rockford on May 27 or May 28 (see pick-up times below). While registering, please indicate in the space provided which RPS 205 school you would like to represent. The school with the most participants will receive the 2.05 Spirit award!
