2022 5k for K-9s Harry Pherson Memorial Run

Runners, walkers, dog enthusiasts, strollers, and leashed dogs are all welcome to participate in this race. Proceeds raised from participant registrations directly support the health care, training, and well-being needs for both active and retired working dogs affiliated with the Richmond Police Department K-9 Unit. The race route winds through beautiful Byrd Park and will be closed to vehicle traffic during the race. The start and finish line is on the VITA trail near Blanton Avenue & Douglasdale Road. There will be one water stop on the course and light snacks and drinks at the finish line. At the conclusion of the race, our Richmond Police K-9 Officers and their hardworking Police K-9s will showcase their abilities through a live K-9 demonstration. There will also be opportunities for everyone to have their picture taken with the officers and K-9s.
