The King Challenge is a fundraising event benefitting the David Krempels Brain Injury Center (KBIC), a Portsmouth, NH based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with brain injury.

Fall in New England offers some of the best riding conditions of the year. We’ve pulled together an event that includes scenic routes, friendly course support and a lively finish-area celebration complete with gourmet food, beverages and music. Fun throughout the day is assured and, you’ll be supporting individuals living with acquired brain injury who attend KBIC!

What the ride is - The King Challenge is a fundraising event: participation comes with a commitment to raise minimum amounts to help support KBIC. Please see the Fundraising Section of our website for more details.

What the ride is not – This ride is not a race, it is designed to be an enjoyable day of cycling and camaraderie.

This event has a special connection to the King family, through local cycle-racing legends, Robbie and Ted King, who are actively involved in supporting the King Challenge.

Three routes, of varying lengths, have been designed to accommodate a wide range of cycling abilities. Fundraising minimums have been set at easily-attainable levels and the focus is on family fun.

The King Challenge offers you the opportunity to support the David Krempels Center Brain Injury and, at the same time, it offers a day of cycling, camaraderie and fun while New England fall foliage is at its peak. The King Challenge is an event that is the highlight of October for many of us and we hope you’ll add it to your list of spectacular Saturdays this fall.
