2023 will be a great year for cycling in the Poconos and the Pocono Bike Club!
The new year will bring an increased emphasis on communtity with more group rides, skills clinics, trail building/maintainence, and youth events! In additon to supporting local cycling, the club is busy securing discounts from local businesses. Look for list of participating businesses and cards to be mailed in early spring.
The Pocono Bike Club is a grassroots organization made up of fellow cyclists with a passion for biking in all of its forms.
The club’s goals are simple:
- Introduce new riders to the sport, especially children.
- Provide manpower to support and create trail networks.
- Provide a forum where members can communicate about everything cycling in the Poconos and beyond.
- Ride with fellow members on and off road.
Where do your membership dollars go?
- Liability insurance for all club activities.
- Organizing events like Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, group rides, and races.
- Purchasing equipment to be used for trail maintenance.
- Partnering with local landowners and governments to create new trails and parks.
