The give away is a durable BEACH DRAWSTRING BACKPACK and not just another tee shirt. Bags are limited to the first 200 registered runners, including the youth fun runs. Come join us for a fun family day of running to support those in need in our community. We have a distance that is right for everyone. Participants get to chose a 5K run or 2 mile walk on the beach.  Awards go to top 3 male and female overall and age group winners. ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY.  PICK UP is  race day  6:30-7:45AM inside Community Hall: 3001 Avalon Avenue. Avalon, NJ 08202.The run starts and finishes at 30th Street and the Beach. Turn around for the 2 mile walk is @ 49th Street, and the 5K turn around is @ 60th Street. The event is chipped timed by DQ Events.

KIDS 2K and 1K FUN RUNS are also included in the day's event. The goal of hosting the fun runs is to transform lives through sport.
We believe that every aspiring young athlete should have the opportunity to participate in our life-changing sport. We want to provides a fun fitness outlet that can jump start a healthy lifestyle for years to come and our TKC events provide the platform for families to race together!  Running is the easiest starting point to the mutisport world for most youth, it can be done pretty much anywhere with just a pair of sneakers. We are grateful for your support of our programs that will help solidify the future of sport for aspiring athletes.

The fun runs are race #2 of the TKC YOUTH MULTISPORT SERIES. Do all three races and earn the Hat Trick Award.  Race #1 is ISLANDKIDS TRIATHLON in June  and Race #3 is the SPLASH N' DASH in September, Saturday night off labor day weekend. Pizza party and water ice for end of summer.

 2K RUN for YOUTH 11-15 turns around @ 42nd Street and a 1K RUN for YOUTH 10 AND UNDER (We take them young if they can run it!) that turns around at 36th Street. Athlete event beach tote bags are limited to the first 200 registered, which includes the adult run.  Medals to all finishers. No awards.

We do have our famous FASTEST FAMILY AWARD for the event. It is FREE!! Mom or dad (must be one parent) team up with one your child in either of the 2K or 1K RUNS. Top 5 lowest combined times win a prize for each of the youth distances and bragging rights for the year as the island's Fastest Family. Now everyone in your family has to come out and run with us!

We are supporting a wonderful local charity from this event. Proceeds will go to the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children right here in Avalon. These funds will go to them offsetting the $1500 per week cost per child for their free week of vacation here in Avalon.   Support of the Home is provided by volunteerism, foundation grants, general donations and community organizations. 100% of your donation will go to fund their programs.
