Bear Brook Classic – 2023

About the Bear Brook Classic

State 9 Racing is back for year number 7, the Bear Brook Classic will be Saturday, September 30, 2023. Bear Brook State Park, in Allenstown NH, offers a wide variety of trails for us to design a great course with a great mix of flow and tech singletrack. The course will be approximately 7 miles long, similar to last year as we are most likely staging in the middle of the park again as of right now we have been given the go to stage at Hayes field, just like in 2022. 

Race Day food will be provided this year by TBD

To help guide to the parking lot

Take exit 11 off Route 93, north on Hackett Hill Rd, north on West River Rd. Turn right onto Main St/College Park (crosses over Merrimack River). Turn left onto Daniel Webster Hwy (Rte 3/Rt 28). In 2.5 miles turn right onto Rt 28/Pinewood Rd. In 3.1 miles turn right onto Deerfield Rd. There is a sign at this turn for the park. Keep going past the old start/finish. Turn right on to Podunk Road for about 1/2 mile to the start/finish, Hayes Field on the Park Map.

CATEGORIES

The categories are Pro/Open (elite), Cat 1 (expert), Cat 2(sport), and Cat 3 (novice).  Waves with same start time will start 2 minutes apart.

• Cat 1 – 2 laps. 
• Cat 2 – 2 laps. 
• Cat 3 – 1 lap. 
• Fat bike – 2 laps. 
• Marathon – 4 laps. 
• Separate Kids Race (11 and under)

Categories will have mass start with separate waves for age groups, promoter reserves the right to combine small fields

All the top three finishers will get medals. The elites will also get cash. Plus, however much merchandise we can get we will give you guys!  ___________________________________________________________

Bear Brook State Park is a 10,000-acre preserve located in Allenstown, New Hampshire and surrounding towns. It is one of New Hampshire's largest state parks. Amenities at Bear Brook include camp sites, a picnic area, hiking trails, swimming and fishing ponds, archery range, camp store, ball field, playground, bathhouse, shelters, picnic tables, canoe & row boat rentals and a physical fitness course. The park is home to the New Hampshire Snowmobile Museum, Old Allenstown Meeting House, and the Richard Diehl Civilian Conservation Corps Museum, which are located in historic buildings built by the CCC.
