Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge (BATC) endeavors to help people who struggle with addiction and life-controlling issues. By participating in this year's Run/Walk for Hope, you are supporting our cause to fight against addiction. Provisional data from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate that there were an estimated 100,306 drug overdose deaths in the United States during a 12-month period ending in April 2021, an increase of 28.5% from the 78,056 deaths during the same period the year before (CDC.Gov, 2021). Each year the death rate climbs as lethal substances continue to take the lives of people who are bound by the grip of addiction. Our goal at BATC is to help free people from the chains of addiction through the power of Jesus Christ! By supporting our mission, you are sowing a seed into the life of someone who at one point in their life had no hope. This year, we are Running/Walking so that those who suffer can have the hope they have been so desperately looking for!
