This Run is going to the dogs -- literally!  
Bring your most loyal canine companion to our dog-friendly By Your Side 5K and Fun Run.  Professional runners, families, and dog lovers will all find something to enjoy at our twelfth annual event. 

  • Professional USATF-certified 5K Race Course, Sanctioned Event & Award for Top Three by Age Groups.
  • Lots of fun CONTESTS with prizes, including Cutest Dog, Ugliest Dog, and a Costume Contest for Pets and Their Owners
  • The 1 Mile Dog Walk & Fun Run is for Families, Kids, and Dogs of All Ages.
  • No Dog?  No problem.  Plenty of Amenities for just Walkers & Runners, Too.  
  • Live Music
  • 5K Registrants: Tech T-Shirts Available for First 150 Registrants and Then Cotton T-Shirts While They Last.

NOTE:  All dogs will receive a pet participation medal, whether they participate in the 5k or 1-Mile Fun Run.  The timed medals are for 5k Runners and are awarded based on performance.  

Running for a Cause

Parkside Psychiatric Hospital & Clinic hosts the By Your Side 5k & 1-Mile Fun Run/Dog Walk to support a very important cause -- patient assistance for many of Parkside's most vulnerable patients and their families.  Many earn less than $10,000 a year and struggle to make ends meet.  While others are forced to make impossible choices, such as choosing to buy groceries or pay their utility bills.  Proceeds from our charity run support Parkside's By Your Side Patient Assistance Program which provides food, clothing assistance, school supplies, and even transportation to and from treatment appointments.  For more information on Parkside and our Patient Assistance Program, please go to http://parksideinc.org/index.php?id=6
