The Celebrate Life Virtual 5K Run/Walk brings together the St. Louis transplant community to honor organ and tissue donors, celebrate new life with recipients, support those waiting for a lifesaving transplant, and inspire others to say “yes” to donation. For the sixth annual event, we will come together online as a community, inspired by the opportunity to raise awareness about organ, tissue, and eye donation. Whether you run or walk in your neighborhood or local park, together, we can share this lifesaving message with even more people.
Mid-America Transplant, a St. Louis-based not-for-profit facilitating the organ and tissue donation process for a service area of 4.7 million people in eastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeast Arkansas. It saves lives by providing expert and compassionate care for organ donors, donor families, and recipients, and transforms the clinical processes required to recover and transplant organs and tissues. Mid-America Transplant is federally designated as one of 58 organ procurement organizations (OPO) in the U.S. and is the first OPO to be recognized as a recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award for Performance Excellence.
