The Foster 5K is a race event meant to benefit the Non-profit Challenge for Charity, of which UW - Foster School of Business is an affiliate, and its scholarship recipients including the Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Clubs, and the University District Food Bank charities. All are welcome to run, walk, or jog the 5K with pride knowing that proceeds from their participation in the event will go towards the above-mentioned charities.
As well participants in this event will directly be assisting UW-Foster get points that go towards winning the "golden briefcase" a recognition trophy for schools with the most charity input per capita among other business school members on the west coast.
COVID-19 Guidance: Proof of vaccination or negative tests will not be required, and face coverings are optional but recommended. Please self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, and if symptomatic you must stay home even if vaccinated. Attendees are also encouraged to take a test prior to the event (within 72 hours) and activate the Washington Exposure Notifications - WA Notify app.
