We're calling all couch potatoes everywhere for the return of the Compass Center 0.5K: "South Dakota's Laziest Race" on July 16th. Enjoy camaraderie with fellow non-runners, enjoy the great outdoors, and have a beer (or root beer) on us. Costumes at the race are encouraged; and you could WIN BIG in our costume contest. By BIG we mean we'll find something cool for you to enjoy.

NEW LOCATION!!!:  JJ's Wine, Spirits, & Cigars is hosting both the start and finish line. Check in will take place at JJ's, and we'll make sure we all properly warm up before undertaking the strenuous task that awaits. The "race course" will take you around a convenient loop located right off the JJ's parking lot. Concerned you will need to rest? Don't worry - we have you covered! Multiple rest area stations will be accessible anywhere along the course to provide some fun activities and a chance for a break from the challenges of a 1/3 mile walk!

The Cause

The Compass Center works with survivors of sexual and domestic violence, providing counseling and advocacy services at no cost for as long as service is needed. More than 700 men, women, and children receive services every year thanks to generous donors. This "race" is YOUR chance to support survivors in our community! You can also click the 'Donate' button above and start your own fundraiser for the agency.

The Swag

We are stocking up on goodies for you so you can proudly show off your racing prowess all year long. As part of registration, you'll receive:

• A coveted 0.5K t-shirt to wear proudly (***as long as you register by June 30th***).
• A pretentious oval, Euro-style sticker to display in your vehicle window, on your laptop, or anywhere else you choose.
• A race medal. 
• 5 oz brew of choice compliments of our friends at JJ's.
