Enduro Camp - July 5-10

Back and a full day longer for 2022!

As the fastest growing discipline of cycling, Enduro is all about skills, speed, and fun; and can be as laid back or competitive as each individual rider chooses to make it.

There is no denying that as the sport has grown, more and more mountain bike trails are being designed with lines and features to thoroughly test a rider's complete skillset. At this camp, we will provide all riders with the tools necessary to improve their skills and build confidence on the bike, which will lead to more enjoyable, safer, and more efficient riding.

You also can't discredit the amount of fitness and endurance that is required to safely and enjoyably participate in the sport. We will be riding multiple hours each day of camp, and our coaches will address ways to build your fitness during rides and in evening seminars.

Teaching everyone these skills and lessons will be several of the region's top male and female mountain bikers - who have decades of combined competition experience along with multiple years of leading instructional mountain bike courses.

As an Enduro Camp, we will be riding more challenging and technical trails around the state of Virginia. All campers must be at an intermediate to advanced level on the mountain bike to attend. Full-face helmets are required, and full-suspension mountain bikes are strongly recommended. A comprehensive Information Packet with a full list of recommended gear to bring will be emailed to all registrants 2-3 weeks before camp begins.

Exact ride locations will be finalized before camp begins and are subject to change, but campers can anticipate riding on the following trail networks over the duration of the camp:

  • Stokesville
  • Bryce Mountain Resort
  • Massanutten
  • Miller School of Albemarle Campus Trails

Travel Camp - July 10-16

Often referred to by counselors as a mountain bike "lifestyle" camp, the Mountain Bike Travel Camp takes advantage of everything that makes fat-tire riding great in the state of Virginia. Each day, campers will experience brand new trails in all-day epic rides. From the extended climbs and descents of the Blue Ridge Mountains, to the flow and technical nature of the Piedmont, there is no shortage of world-class riding.

Endurance and fitness come hand in hand with increased skills and confidence over the course of the 7 days. Every challenging climb is followed by an amazing descent, and you can't wait to crest the next hill.

Each location visited has unique qualities that make it a must-ride location. Douthat State Park features hour-long climbs and rewarding descents with breathtaking views. Preddy Creek offers unparalleled flow and an expert loop that challenges the most experience riders. Miller School of Albemarle is a student-built paradise with skills parks, engineered trail features, and miles of rolling singletrack.

The daily schedule is weather dependent, but campers can expect to ride the following trail networks over the duration of the camp:

  • Douthat State Park
  • Stokesville Lodge
  • Preddy Creek Regional Park
  • Bryce Mountain Resort
  • Walnut Creek Regional Park
  • Miller School of Albemarle Campus Trails

Evenings are filled with informative seminars and motivational mountain bike videos. A trip to historic downtown Charlottesville for dinner one night is always a hit, and we don't hesitate to take advantage of Miller School's pool and lake when there is time.

All Overnight Camps include:

  • Multiple nights on scenic Miller School of Albemarle campus
  • 3 healthy and balanced meals each day
  • Healthy snacks and ride food
  • Daily, fully-supported group rides
  • Skills courses led by internationally-known professionals
  • Cycling seminars with topic ranging from nutrition and training principles to bike maintenance and bike fit
  • Laundry
