Wednesday, December 29, 2021 is somebody's something-something birthday! (If you haven't figured it out yet, where have you been??) Let's celebrate with a 5.5 Mile Run/Walk and/or a .55 Mile Kids' Dash! (All are welcome to participate in the .55 mile dash.)
Registration begins at 4:00, Kids' Dash starts at 5:00 pm, 5.5 Miler starts at 5:30.
LOCATION & RACE REGISTRATION: WOODLANDS PARK, Perrysburg, Ohio
COURSES:
- 0.55 Mile Course: Point to point course starting on the east drive and ending at the leaf arch. Kids AND kids-at-heart are welcome to participate. (Grownups: We will not be held responsible for pulled hammies or bruised egos!)
- 5.5 Mile Course: Start on the east drive, run 6 full laps of the not-a-full-mile-no-matter-what-they-say-it’s-more-a-like-.83-mile loop and finish at the leaf arch. I hope y’all can run or walk and count at the same time!
AWARDS:
- All finishers 12 and under in the Kids’ Dash receive a prize, with the top girl and boy getting something extra super-special!
- Top Three overall women (sorry no men!) in running skirts win Second Sole Gift Certificates!
- First 55 finishers of the 5.5 miler will receive a handmade thing too wonderful to describe!
- There may or may not be some additional random prizes as well. (When it's your birthday, you get to make the rules.)
REFRESHMENTS & SHIRTS:
- Visit the December Dash Ortinau Webstore for shirts and fun stuff.
- Water, sports drink, bananas, hot chocolate, maybe some cookies, and CARROT CAKE provided after the race.
ENTRY FEES:
- 0.55 Mile Kids’ Dash is free for all!
- Registration fee: $5.00 (TRRC Members will receive a $5.00 discount. That's right, that makes it free for TRRC members! Oh, the perks.)
