September is Children's Cancer Awareness Month, and Eastside is hosting a 5k (in October!) to bring more attention to this important cause. Many of us are impacted by cancer, including members of our own Eastside family. This fundraising walk/run is specifically geared to support one of our own teachers, whose son (Diego) is battling leukemia. Please register to join us in this endeavor as we all walk and run together.
There will be a prize for the top female and male runners. All other participants who join us will be entered in for a raffle.
We are working hard to have t-shirts available on race day for an additional $10. If you'd like one, please bring cash! We are excited to see you on race day at the practice fields behind the school - look for the yellow balloons. #diegostrong
