Activities: Gravel grinder, Road race 🚴🏿‍♂️, 40 miles

We will cap the race at 200. This is due to parking at the farm and in order to keep the event intimate and not overwhelming. Update May 16th: Though we are sold out, please enter the waitlist. Last year, we will able to get everyone off the waitlist! We are unique in that we issue refunds if you are unable to make it (so long as there are people on the waitlist)...and this works to get people who know they can not make it to let us know. Thanks!

This year, we are pleased to partner with Nutrify Performance Nutrition for Women. Nutrify Performance Nutrition for Women provides science-backed sports nutrition coaching for female athletes seeking to improve performance. Nutrify supports 545 Velo's goal to encourage gender parity in registration and participation. We are pleased to award the 4th place and last place finishers in the Open Women category a $100 gift certificate for sports nutrition coaching. Please visit nutrifyperformance.com for more information on coaching services and packages.

COVID-19: You must be fully vaccinated and boosted to participate in this event. You will be asked to sign an online attestation of these facts sent by email one week before the race.

Come join 545 Velo for the 5th annual Guilford Gravel Grinder! If you've done the event before, you know it's a challenging course on 93% dirt! Up and down and up and down over beautiful backcountry Vermont roads.

Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/7471796. A GPX with turn-by-turn instructions will be provided, and it is recommended that participants upload it to their GPS device. While all turns will be marked with 545 Velo signs with arrows, not all will be manned by volunteers. Roads will be open, albeit with very little traffic (someone said they saw just 7 vehicles during the entire event!). Normal traffic rules apply.

This is a 40 mile course with approximately 4,800ft of climbing! Road, gravel or cyclocross bikes with 30+mm tires are recommended. There is no "pave" on this course and we've built a route entirely around well maintained Vermont dirt roads. A 1 to 1 gear ratio or more is the recommended gearing for the climbs. Results will be posted on road-results.com and usacycling.org - some treat this like a race (for the awesome prizes) and some like ride (cause it's so dang pretty) - it's up to you!

The race starts and finishes at Sunrise Farm in Guilford, where we'll have onsite parking, bathroom access, and a complementary awesome lunch with free beer and non-alcoholic drinks once you finish. Podium prizes include Maple Syrup, Skratch Labs products and bragging rights among your friends.

This event is covered under USA Cycling. You do not need a USA Cycling license to ride the event. But, if you do not have an annual USA Cycling license, you can purchase an optional one day license ($10) at checkout. The benefit to a one day license is that you are entitled to supplimental medical insurance for the event

Rain or shine. Combined field limit of 200

This year we have partnered with our cycling friend Matt Curbeau to help fundraise for his daugther's charity through the Boston Children's Hospital. To learn more and to make a donation please visit this website
