Activities: Virtual race

The 3rd Annual Hillseeker Challenge is back February 4th-6th, 2022 -- get ready to CLIMB!

Hillseeker is our most popular event of the year and we can't wait to watch you guys and gals hammer the hills and get a little crazy.  New for this year's event we are raising money for our non-profit charity What Limits that supports men in addiction recovery facilities who are participating in our training programs in Georgia and Florida.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 which will allow us to continue to grow the outreach of the program and getting the guys moving and committing to doing hard things they begin to believe in themselves and what's possible in their lives.  Positive habits and an attitude that can serve them well as they graduate from their respective rehabilitation center and continue the recovery momentum.

We need your help showing people what's possible and pushing past perceived limits.  YOU have the power and ability to motivate and inspire others by bringing your grit to the hills.

Please join us as we CLIMB FOR RECOVERY.

CHALLENGE DESCRIPTION
Hills open at 12:00 AM on Friday, February 4th and you've got until Sunday, February 6th 11:59 PM to get your 30,000+ of elevation done as a team.

To complete this challenge each 4 person team must climb 30,000 feet of ascent collectively.  As you've shown us in past events, some of you don't need much rest and have gone above and beyond the required event.  Last year's winning team climbed over 60,000 feet as a group and one participant climbed 30,000 feet solo!

No worries if you don't have a team, we have plenty of people to match you up with to get the job done. Go ahead and register and we'll be in touch. Grab your running crew and let's climb!

This is a virtual event so you can join from anywhere, but if you are local to the Atlanta area and want to grind out some elevation with a large group, we'll be at Sawnee Mountain @ Tower Road, parking at Cumming First United Methodist Preschool, starting at 7 AM on Day 2 (February 5th).

WHAT LIMITS PROJECT
What Limits Project was born out of our commitment to training men in multiple men's addiction rehabilitation facilities across Georgia and Florida.  We provide 5K and beyond training programs for men in recovery that focus on showing up, goal setting and doing something out of their comfort zone that's good for their mind, body and soul.  Over the past year we have trained well over 150 men and we're just getting started.  Our core program is built around a 10-week training plan with an event at the end to reward the men for the work they have put in.  It's more than just miles!  When you start believing in yourself, no matter what you've been told or the negative story you have on repeat in your head, a new path is possible.  Recovery is possible.  The program outfits participants with running shoes, apparel, and other support items to keep them going, and ensure that if they commit to the program, we will be there to support.
