When you sign-up for the HoBOOken 5K race, you are running for a good cause!

The Hoboken Shelter transforms lives, sheltering 50 people nightly, serving 530 meals daily, and hosting 1,000 showers weekly for those in need. In the past year, they've helped meet the needs of our community during the COVID crisis. Food insecurity and homelessness are real issues facing many of our neighbors and with every step you take you can help someone in need. 

Taking a holistic approach to helping people in need, The Hoboken Shelter provides support services such as food, shelter, case management, counseling and job and life skills training to help guests gain employment, achieve independence, and reintegrate into the community.

    2022's HoBOOken 5K race is taking place in-person on October 29, 2022! The race is the flagship fundraising for the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, Hoboken’s one and only costumed 5K run, and one of Hoboken’s largest races. Set yourself a fundraising goal and support the Hoboken Homeless Shelter! Your registration includes a cotton t-shirt, race medal, and access to our digital goodie bag.

The HoBOOken Charity Runner position is for runners who want to give back to their community. Your donation of $100 will be recognized with a special race bib along with other race swag. Set yourself a fundraising goal and support the Hoboken Homeless Shelter! Your registration as a Charity Runner includes a cotton t-shirt, race medal, and access to our digital goodie bag. There is also a $60 charitable contribution.

  5. Kids (Virtual) Scary Scurry Scavenger Hunt

    Self-paced scavenger hunt with live Zoom warmup with the Inner Athlete Live zoom warmup, walking through the exercises that will need to be performed at each location with the Inner Athlete at 11am Scavenger hunt map sent to each registered participant by Friday Oct. 29th Participants will be able to complete the scavenger hunt over the weekend from 11:30am on Saturday until Sunday October 31st. At each scavenger hunt “stop” kids will complete an exercise and receive a sticker to put on their map Participants can upload their completed scavenger hunt to RunSignUp and will receive free race entry for themselves and a parent/guardian in 2022. Price $10 per child, goes directly to the Hoboken Shelter
