WHAT:     The Inaugural Ivanhoe 5k & Fun Run is an endorphin-pumping, community-building event designed to lift spirits, and raise vital funds for the students of Ivanhoe Elementary.

WHEN:    Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in Griffith Park

WHO:    5 waves of participants - from grade captains to toddlers in strollers, Ivanhoe families, friends, alumni, and community members. Please note that we love dogs, but ask that you leave your four-legged runner at home for this event. In accordance with LAUSD policies, on the event day, all participants must present proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID-19 test from within 72 hours of the event.

  1. The Inaugural Ivanhoe 5k & Fun Run

    The pavement-pounding parents and caregivers of Ivanhoe Elementary will meet for 5 waves of races in historic Griffith Park on a closed-loop course. Registration will be taken in advance and on-site, space permitting. The event will kick off with a kid’s dash. Then, the first adult wave will be an all-out grade vs. grade 5k run, with one grade representative running for glory. Followed by Runners/Joggers, Walkers, and Strollers. Participants will be supported by a hydration refill station at the start/finish line. Please bring your own water bottle for hydration along the course, and refills. Music will be played, ice packs will be applied, and bananas will be eaten.
