The Comet Chase 5k will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Grand Ledge, Michigan. The 5k race begins at 8:30am from the First United Methodist Church in downtown Grand Ledge and travels through scenic Fitzgerald Park before returning to the church.  A 1 mile run for youth 13 & under starts at 8:00am and the 400m Kids Race precedes the 5K at 8:15am.  All proceeds go to benefit the Grand Ledge Education Foundation a 501(c)3 organization that works to provide extra funding for special projects within the Grand Ledge Public Schools classrooms.

5k Entry Fee: $25 until June 10th (Guaranteed shirt), $30 from June 11th to June 17th (Limited Shirts available)

5k participants receive a technical t-shirt which is guaranteed to all entries received prior to June 10th. T-shirts available as supplies last after that date.

Youth races receive a cotton blend t-shirt with entries by June 10th, supplies available after that date.

Awards & Prizes:  Post race refreshments for all registrants and chance at race day door prizes

5k Awards to overall male and female, and overall masters male and female.  Medal to top 3 in male and female age groups: 10 & under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

All kids 400m race participants will receive a finisher’s ribbon.

Top 10 in the 1 mile youth race receive a medal, all others receive participation ribbons.

Packet Pickup: Held the morning of the race starting at 7:00 AM. Across from First Methodist Church, 411 Harrison Street, Grand Ledge (Northwest corner of Harrison and E. Scott Streets)

The race will be timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be posted during the race and live on this website.
