Lakeview Park XC Short Track – Race 1

This is our first year hosting the Lakeview Park XC Short Track Series. Our youth team, Bluegrass Berms has been working hard to develop our course as a training trail and race course for riders of all abilities. Our junior riders and coaches have built and steward this course as part of the KYMBA Bluegrass system. We are excited to annouce that Rocket Power Brand Co and Josh Patton will be expertly handling our race timing. RovR Products and Bicycle Face Lexington have stepped up to be our primary event supporters to-date with more partners and sponsors to be announced soon. 

Our race catergories are being launched as Kids/Youth, Junior, Beginner, Competitive and Elite. We reserve the right to safely combine categories based upon registrations. Prizes will still be awarded by race registration category even if combined racing occurs.

To accompany our Sunday XC Short Track Races, we are also soft launching Thursdsay Time Trials from mid to late March. Check out FREE Time Trial Thursdays March 16, 23 and 30 on our FB page @bluegrassberms and at our website www.bluegrassberms.org/events.

- Helmets required  
- Please be COVID-19 aware as a participant and spectator. This is an open, outdoor course and event, but if you exhibit any COVID-related symptoms we ask that you do not attend

- A waiver must be signed to race/ride

COURSE DETAILS

The XC Short Track course will open at 12:00pm on Sundays prior to the 1:00pm race start. The course will have taped intersections, and some signs. There are several wooded trail sections with some technical features that are rideable for all skill levels. We will add tape and signage to identify technical areas. The rest of the course is low mowed grass or rolling terrain. This is an extremely welcoming venue for spectators.
