Activities: Running race, 5K, 1 Mile

This 5k/1 mile fun run is to remember and honor fallen Cedar County Sheriff's Deputy Matthew S. Chism, EOW 11-2-14. The money raised will go into Matt's Fund and be used by the Project 288 team in Cedar County to help raise awareness of Law Enforcement, safety and to reach out to our children and youth about issues like drugs, alcohol and bullying. Moneys raised will also go toward an annual scholarship given to two high school seniors in Cedar County.

Both the 5k and 1 mile, if registered by April 16th, will receive a t-shirt if desired. The option to purchase more shirts is also available. You can still register after April 16th, but you may not order a shirt. Some will be available to purchase at the run but sizes and quantities will be limited.

There will be free water available. We will have Blue Line bracelets and Matt stickers available for sale as well.

The number one reason for the run is to honor our local hero, Deputy Matthew Chism. He died doing a job that he loved and that was very good at. Please join us and have a fun time honoring Matthew and all law enforcement! Thank you in advance and God bless!
