MNC Gravel Grinder
-Mansfield Nordic Club (MNC) welcomes riders of all ages on a 20 and 40 mile route on the scenic roads around Westford, VT on Sunday, Sept 10th.
-Suggested donation to MNC for the event is $20.
-Route finding is the responsibility of the rider, there will not be directional signs on the roads. Cue sheets and maps will be available at the event, or download the routes at the following Ride with GPS (RWGPS) links for use on your GPS device or ride with a friend that knows the route.

-Ride starts from the Westford Common with a staggered start to allow the 40 milers to meet up with the 20 milers for the end of the ride.
9:00 departure -40 mile route is 85% gravel, 15% paved with a short 4th class section.
10:00 departure -20 mile route is 89% gravel, 11% paved.
All riders are encouraged to enter online. However, day of registration will be available from 8:00 - 8:45 AM at the Westford Common.
-Parking at the Common or at the Westford Elementary School, .7 miles away.
-Sweep rider on both routes .
-Joy Grossman is the event coordinator and can be reached on her cell the day of the event, 802-380-0507.
-Cell service is extremely limited on the route and is nonexistent on the Common.
-WiFi is available on the Westford Common.
-Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the Common after the ride or check out the Westford Country Store and Café. Open from 8 AM-7PM serving coffee, baked goods, really good sandwiches, pizza and drinks. You can order ahead or walk-in.
-Safety, not speed, is the priority. Riders are expected to wear helmets and follow the rules of the road at all times. Please ride single or double file to the right side of the road. These roads have limited traffic. However, there are many places where hills or curves obstruct the sight lines. Exercise caution.
-Porta potty will be at the Westford Common.
-Have fun and enjoy the beauty of Vermont in the fall.
