Activities: Virtual race, 134 Miles, Full Marathon (26.2 Mi)

Are you ready for a cool challenge? Get that t-shirt? Earn that medal?  But don't want to be in crowd just yet? Time to get out of the house!

The Oahu Perimeter Virtual Challenge is here! Registration is open through September 30, 2021. Run 134 miles (equal to the distance around Oahu) anytime between September 6, 2021 (Labor Day), and October 31, 2021 (Halloween), anywhere you want.  Log your miles on this site as you complete them. You can do all the miles at one time like an ultra or break up the challenge over the 55 days. Finishers get a race t-shirt and fabulous medal! You can also get a couple of friends to form a team of three - be sure to pick a cool name for your team! Team members log their miles for the team up to a total of 134 miles for the whole team. Team members do not have to register at the same time - just let your team members know the team name so they can register for the team. There is also an option to enter a password if you choose. For teams that complete the challenge, all team members get a medal and a shirt!
There is also the Virtual 26.2 Mile Aloha Challenge for those not interested in the longer distance.  Run it, jog it, or walk it and get the shirt!
A map for each event is provided as a way to see your virtual progress around the island - it is just a cool feature for tracking your miles, you do NOT need to run any portion of the route on the map. Run or walk anywhere.
A finisher packet pick-up will be scheduled for local runners (email notification as we get closer to the October 31st end date) and a mail out option for off island participants and locals who prefer to have their finisher packet mailed. There is a separate shipping/handling fee for the mail out option. Regardless of when you finish the miles, shirts and medals will be shipped after the final day of the event, October 31, 2021.
Keep in mind that you must agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC's guidance at: You also agree to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community, or other governmental authority to participate in this virtual race.
A Facebook page has been created – Oahu Perimeter Virtual Challenge – for you to share your photos, finishes, and experiences. Find it at
