OWW's are a coached open water swim workout at Lake Meridian Park. Swimmers will be grouped according to similar speed and swim around a 300 yard buoy course. A coach in a kayak will give the groups of swimmers intervals and drills during each workout. It's like a coached pool workout only in the open water. This is a great opportunity for any open water swimmer - you'll get a good workout in and can practice those open water skills like sighting, turning at buoys,. and getting used to swimming with other people around you.
You may sign up for one workout, a season pass, or a bundle of 3 or 6 swims. Pricing improves per swim the more you swim.
This workout which has been happening since 2006 - welcome swimmers of all levels. Wetsuits are mandatory.
There will also be a coach near shore that will be working on specific skills and helping new swimmers acclimate to the open water experience. Their goal is to get you trained up to get out on the buoy course and with the main group.
