The Rocky Point 50 has been huge success in its 5 year history and we are looking forward to raising the bar for 2023. The race takes place on what some call the jewel of Long Island mountain biking trails. The Rocky Point MTB trails are some of the oldest existing trails on Long Island and are where many of us have cut our teeth in the sport of mountain biking.

This event is not just a race, this event is a fundraiser for the Michael W. Seda CTE Animal Science Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit the students graduating from Long Island high schools pursuing a future in the animal care / veterinary field. Paniagua Cycling will be donating 100% of the proceeds from this event to the to this great organization in memory of Michael Seda. # 21

Course: The Rocky Point 50 will take place entirely within the Rocky Point preserve. It will consist of three 17-mile laps over mostly flat terrain with a mix of tight single track and a few fire road sections. The course is very fat bike and single speed friendly.

Registration: Online registration is preferred but day of registration will be available for $10 extra provided the race does not sell out. Registration and packet pick up will open at 7:00AM on race day and the race will start promptly at 9:00AM. A USAC license is required to race. If a racer does not have an annual USAC license, a ONE DAY USAC LICENSE must be purchased for $15 at time of registration.

Directions: Race entrance will be located on the east side of Rocky Point Yaphank Road, about 3.3 miles north of route 25 (Middle Country Road). The start location and race parking are just north of the main MTB trail parking lot.

Fundraising: We will also be holding a 50/50 drawing with all proceeds being donated the Greg W. Sill Foundation to benefit graduating students from Long Island high schools.

COVID Protocols: Please note that all NY State COVID protocols will be adhered to in order ensure the safety of racers, spectators, and staff.
