In founding Pawsitive Tails in 2015, Crystal Tucker knew she would need the support of her family. However, her family did more than support her—they became an integral part of running this foster-based dog rescue. Her son, Lantz, was active in socializing, training and transporting dogs; working events; and supporting the volunteers. He even designed the logo, original website and t-shirts for Pawsitive Tails.
Lantz died, suddenly and tragically, in March 2020 at the age of 22. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that those wishing to honor Lantz contribute to Pawsitive Tails in his name. So many donations flooded in that the Lantz Tucker Memorial Fund was formed.
The Tucker family decided to dedicate this fund to a related cause near and dear to their hearts: supporting owners whose pets need lifesaving care that is beyond their means. Too many times in rescue, a dog is surrendered because the owner cannot afford the medication or surgery needed. To honor Lantz and his generous spirit, donations to this fund will be used to help those animals and keep pets with the families that love them.
