Who are we?
Building Up: Partnering in Health and Wholeness is a nonprofit organization based in Ann Arbor, MI. We are running this event to raise funds to build a medical/dental clinic, Zion Family Health Clinic in Sayyi, Uganda.
All proceeds go to help build, equip, and staff this clinic located in the economically disadvantaged community of Sayyi. People now walk 7-10 miles for medical care. Women have little access to pre & post-natal care, children receive no vaccinations, and people of all ages suffer from malnutrition, parasites, and diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS. Mortality rates, especially for infants are distressingly high.
Lack of immediate medical and dental care will continue to impact the lives of the Sayyi area people until the clinic is operational.
