Water Unites us All! Walk or ride your bicycle to help, in partnership with the BARKA Foundation, Namoungou School students in Burkina Faso have clean water and food! There is no set distance or race, just use the "Sign Up" button to register and enjoy a walk or bike ride during Earth Day Week, anytime between Monday, April 18, 2022, and Monday, April 25, 2022 inclusive. Make it a family or friend event near and far! The individual registration fee of $6 pays for 3 months of clean water for one Namoungou student. Additional donations made using the "Donate" button extend the reach of clean water and also go toward much needed canteen food for Namoungou School, displaced 45 km from Namoungou village so that students could safely continue their education. All participants are encouraged to take a photo on their walk or ride by any water and/or with a water bottle. The first 250 registrants will be emailed the name of the Namoungou student whom they sponsor and are asked to hold up the Namoungou student name in the photo (you can see some of last year's photos at end of video linked below). Please share photos in jpeg format as you wish by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org
This event is open to students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni of Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, including friends around the United States and the world. Wyoming Seminary also invites our northeast Pennsylvania neighbors to register and participate. Please spread the word!
