This year we will hold both an in-person race and a virtual race
Join us this year for the 18th annual Spartans Will Step Up for Down Syndrome! We would love for YOU to join us either in person on Sunday, October 10th or virtually anytime until October 10th.
Pricing: Registration now thru October 10th - $21 includes a race jersey and mask if registered by September 25th. Kids ages 17 and under are only $15. Age based pricing applied at checkout.
Packet pickup: Race day morning at the MSU Auditorium starting at 8:30 am. We will follow all local/state/MSU guidelines for masking and social distancing at packet pickup and during the event.
Schedule for In-person event on Sunday, Oct 10th:
8:30am to 9:15 am Packet pickup and late registration
9:30am Race Start
11:00am Block Party (DJ, Pre-packaged food, raffle and more!)
Course: The in-person event will run thru the beautiful Michigan State University campus. The virtual event can be run, walked, biked or wheeled, anytime and anyplace on or before 10/10/21!
Prizes offered: Brag = Swag! Post pics of your run/walk/bike on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtag #VirtualSUDS. We're offering prizes! Criteria TBD.
Results will be live during the race and available on this Run Signup page. Virtual participants can enter their results on the results page.
Our families need you - Throughout all the chaos, The Capital Area Down Syndrome Association (CADSA) is still here: supporting its members with online classes, remote advocacy, and virtual social events. We're reaching out to new mothers, managing scholarships, and preparing new programming. Your generous donations help provide scholarships, programs, education, advocacy, and outreach to our Mid-Michigan Community! Even through global pandemics.

The 5k run/walk in a chipped timed event. The 1 mile Walk is an un-timed event. The 5k run/walk will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
