Team Psycho 19th Annual Indoor Time Trial

Welcome to the 19th Annual Team Psycho Indoor Time Trial! 

The Team Psycho event will be a good old-fashioned sufferfest, so bring your "A" game and prepare to compete with the very best athletes in New England. 

You can choose to race in any heat but suggestions are listed for those that wish to race against the best or in a heat with your own club. Results will be compiled across all heats so you do not have to race head-to-head to win or place.  

Awards will be given for Top 3 in each gender in 3 Categories (age determined as of race date): 

      Open (under age 40)

      Masters (age 40 - 54)

      Grand Masters (age 55+)

NEW: Mixed Relay award.  Race for bragging rights for your club!  The top 2 male and top 2 female times from each club or team will be totaled to come up with the fastest club award (team or club must be listed on registration form and be a USA Cycling or USA Triathlon-registered club). This merchandise award will be provided by Peak Brewery if you need any added motivation! :-)

*Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of your heat to check-in and get weighed. 

**If you have a bike with disc brakes, we strongly encourage you to stop in at Fast Splits before race day to make sure we have a skewer that fits in the Computrainer.

Post-Race Social: Stick around after your race and cheer on the other heats while you partake of the awesome beverage selection provided by our sponsor, Peak Organic Brewing. We will also have snacks from our other sponsors Fuel for Fire, Drink Simple and more. 

Massachusetts Indoor Time Trial Series (MITTS)  We are proud to be a part of MITTS, a series of three local time trials with different hosts, locations and vibes!  

About the Massachusetts Indoor Time Trial Series (MITTS): MITTS brings together 3 local indoor time trials into one exciting series. The series kicks off with the Cycle Life Indoor TT in Whitman on 1/29, followed by the 19th annual Team Psycho Time Trial in Needham on 2/11/23 and concludes with the FastSplits Indoor Time Trial at RACE-MANIA in Boston on 3/12/23 RaceMania. Race distances range from 10k to 15k. Sign up for at least two of the TTs in the series and be eligible for Series Prizes to be awarded at the RACE-MANIA event.  

MITTS Cash Awards and Prizes: Each event in the MITTS series will distribute its own awards and prizes, but there will also be merchandise prizes and credits to triathlons organized by Sun Multisport Events for the top 3 Open (39 and under) and the top 3 Masters (40+) in both Male and Female categories  that participate in the Series (i.e. participate in at least 2 of the 3 Series races). 

The MITTS Point System: MITTS participants will earn points based on cross-country scoring: 1st place in overall gender is 1 point, 2nd place is 2 points, etc.  The lowest score when totaling a participant's best 2 races determines the winners. In the event of a tie, head-to-head results will be used. In the event there is still a tie, time behind the leader in the same gender will be used.

FAQs:

1. Where do I park? There is parking in the Staples side parking lot across the street from Fast Splits, in the lot that is on the left just past the Fast Splits building, and also on the street directly across from the store. Please do NOT park in the spots in front of the store!
2. What do I need to bring?  Bring your bike, bike shoes, and a trainer appropriate skewer, and anything else you would want/need for an indoor bike ride (water bottle, small towel, etc.)
3. Will there be time/a place to warm up?  Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your heat. There will be some trainers provided to warm up on outside (weather permitting) or in the store (space permitting). However, if you are concerned about availability please bring your own trainer.

Cancellations and Refunds
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances Team Psycho/FastSplits
reserves the right to cancel the race without refund. Absolutely no refunds or exchanges are permitted.
