Sunday June 26th from 2:00-4:30 PM during the Team T-Town track session

The Team T-Town Open House offers the opportunity to see what training with Team T-Town is like. Team T-Town is designed to foster a fun and social pathway to growth as competitive cyclists for youth interested in progressing beyond or in tandem with the BRL. Members of Team T-Town receive year round coaching from multi-time World Champion, Kim Geist in a program that introduces structured training programs and more advanced racing concepts.

The program runs from November through October and has typically started with indoor training sessions held at the LVHN Sports Academy where participants train both on the bike and off.  LVHN Sports Academy licensed trainers lead our junior athletes in strength and conditioning exercises as well as functional fitness and flexibility exercises. On the bike, athletes have access to training programs on WattBikes and indoor cycling platforms designed to improve performance and develop cycling abilities.

Most importantly the program is designed to be fun and social. While the training is serious the atmosphere is positive and fun and “celebrity guest” coaches have been known to make unscheduled appearances just to partake in the good times.

Once April rolls around, the programming moves outdoors and on to the track with a few road events thrown into the mix for fun and training. Team T-Town athletes have the option of several mid-week training opportunities – including participating in the Thursday Night Training Crits held across the street from the Velodrome in the Bob Rodale Fitness Park.

Specialized training and education opportunities are provided too; from Concussion Education to Madison Practices, motor-pacing instructions, and other fun-focused outings like hikes and ski trips happen periodically throughout the year.
