Randonneuring is long-distance unsupported endurance cycling. This style of riding is non-competitive in nature, and self-sufficiency is paramount. When riders participate in randonneuring events, they are part of a long tradition that goes back to the beginning of the sport of cycling in France and Italy. Friendly camaraderie, not competition, is the hallmark of randonneuring.

Drafting is allowed. Teamwork is allowed. Obey traffic laws and don’t get lost or take shortcuts.Â
The inaugural Ozark Randonneur embarks from Historic Downtown Fayetteville, Arkansas on
Saturday, September 16 th , 2023.For this year’s inaugural event we’re offering two distance options: 122.5 Miles and 201 Miles. In order to be an official finisher, you must make the time cut-offs.Â
122.5 Miles – 15 Hours (Back by Midnight)Â
201 Miles – 25 Hours (Back by 10AM Next Day)Â
While there is no podium for this event, some may chase a Fastest Known Time for extra bragging rights.Â
There will be no tracking for this event; a ride file will need to be provided upon completion for a finisher swag bag, award and extra raffle ticket. Anyone participating gets a bandanna and raffle ticket.Â

Fayetteville’s vibrant downtown has long been considered the entertainment capital of Arkansas with
historic Dickson Street the epicenter for fun – a fitting start and finish line for the Ozark Randonneur.
In addition to a vibrant nightlife, participants will find everything from local coffee shops pouring
flavorful drip to eclectic kitchens serving gourmet grilled cheese – and everything in between.
