There 'n Back Again 400K ACP Brevet

Thank you for registering for the There 'n Back Again 400K brevet hosted by the Long Island Randonneurs! This event is an ACP brevet sanctioned by RUSA. RUSA membership is required. A helmet, appropriate front and rear lighting, AND reflective gear is mandatory. No exceptions. See www.RUSA.org for brevet rules. You have 27 hours to be considered an official finisher.

The event starts at the non-permit LIRR Station north parking lot (on Jericho Tpke) that is open to the public on Saturday/Sunday. The course proceeds initially in a westerly direction, making use of bike lanes and paths to the Marine Park bridge in Brooklyn before heading east on the Riis Park boardwalk and then the Rockaway boardwalk before continuing east along the South Shore of Long Island. The course then heads north toward Riverhead before continuing east to Greenport before doubling back in a westward direction for the last 100 mile leg along the hillier North Shore of Long Island.

New York State traffic rules apply at all times. Please obey them and be considerate of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. We are on Long Island, therefore traffic can be a factor in certain places at given times. Exercise caution when in higher traffic and/or lower visibility situations. 

NOTE: All registrants will be required to sign the RUSA/LIR waiver for this event. The Waiver, Safety Instructions, Cue Sheet, and GPS files WILL BE FORWARDED TO ALL REGISTRANTS AFTER THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATION ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 31st, AT MIDNIGHT. Expect to see a Pre-Ride Communique email from the organizer on Thursday, June 1st. Brevet cards will be distributed at check-in for the event. Check-in opens at 4:30 AM. The event starts at 5:00 AM.
