5K Trail Run



Parking and Transition will be in the Lake Wedington pavilion area. 


The run will start onto the “Lake Trail” and continue Clockwise to the “North side Connector” (i.e. Hwy or Route 16). Turn right onto Route 16 for a short distance  alongside the road  then turning right into small parking lot and continue along the lake on the “North side Connector."  Trail then loops behind the dam back onto the Lake Trail until reaching “Lake Wedington Entry Road”  to continue back to transition.


Bike out of transition out of park then right on Hey 16 (ideally close to one lane of traffic for this short section) then left into the “Lake Wedington parking spur” take 1st right onto connector trail to get to “Lake Wedington loop”. CCW back to transition. We will not utilize “Twin Mountains Trail”  

Training will be conducted by elite Exterra athlete Dane Baldini, a long standing veteran of our sport.  

Training will consist of 2, 2 hour sessions from 8:30am -10:30am, start dates TBD.


Athletes will receive run trail instruction, bike ride technique and instruction and transition set up instruction. Training will take place on actual run and bike course for maximum learning with simulated race activity.  Participates should be comfortable on mountain bike trails, own or rent their own bike.

  • Mountain bike
  • Helmet (required)
  • Full face helmet (optional)
  • Shin and elbow pads (optional)
  • Bike pump
  • Running shoes (Trail shoes not required)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Socks
