Vultures Knob Grassroots MTB Series TWO
After two-plus tumultuous years of ups and downs with COVID-19, restrictive protocols, and virtual races - riders are back for a full series of four races at Vultures Knob. For almost 30 years Vultures Knob has provided mountain bike riders with a challenging course, with roots in old-school singletrack racing. Vultures Knob has tight, technical flat sections full of roots and rocks, fast and flowing downhill sections, and some challenging, steep climbs (which thankfully aren't too long). The Knob is a MUST RIDE for anyone visiting Ohio and a favorite home trail to nearby riders.
Friends of Vultures Knob is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization that manages and maintains Vultures Knob. We are completed funded by riders. FoVK receives NO Federal, State, County, or City funding. Vultures Knob exists because of rider support. These races are MASSIVELY important to sustaining the operations of Vultures Knob. Nature would reclaim the trails without the countless hours of maintenance done every year to keep the Knob alive - this is how we pay for it. You can help support the efforts just by racing your bike!
Race TWO kicks off Sunday, July 12th, 2022 at 12 NOON. Our staff are on-site early and check-in starts at approximately 9:30am. Riders are permitted to warm-up prior to the race but the course is CLOSED to the public until completion of the race.
Race TWO is always a HOT one. July can have temperatures soaring. We shorten the course by taking out some of the hardest climbs and it's a faster lap.
