Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk

The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce we will be hosting the 14th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk. This year's event will take place on Sunday, May 15, 2022, which coincides with Peace Officers Memorial Day. On October 1, 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15th a national day of recognition for local, state, and federal peace officers who have died, or who have been disabled in the line of duty.          Our 5K Run event will honor our brave, fallen law enforcement officers on this day. This year our organization will donate $1.00 for each paid entry to   C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors) a non profit charity organization which supports the families of fallen police officers in New Jersey. 

Our USATF-NJ sanctioned and Paul Miller Grand Prix event offers a fast, scenic course through Waldwick Borough Park and finishing on the high school track. We know you'll love our special commemorative tech t-shirts and sought-after goody bags. Goody bags given to the first 400 registered runners or walkers. Special commemorative tech t-shirts guaranteed to those who register by May 5th. All others while supplies last. Please don't wait or hesitate to register for our wonderful event. As always we will continue to monitor CDC guidance as well as New Jersey Health guidelines regarding COVID restrictions. As of now there are currently no restrictions or outdoor limitation capacities. Safety precautions will be addressed and implemented as needed.  The health, safety and well-being of our runners, walkers, volunteers and spectators are first and foremost in our minds

A portion of the proceeds from the W5K Run will be donated to The Christopher Goodell Scholarship Fund, The Staff Sgt. Joseph D’Augustine Memorial Fund, The Sean Fisher Foundation, Waldwick High School Scholarship Fund, Cole's Crew as well as a number of other community volunteer and veteran organizations. Last year, through the generous support of our sponsors, participants and volunteers we were able to donate $21,000 to 30 organizations within our community area.
