Hi! We are Sadie Blackwell and Nora Hampton and we created Walking on Sunshine in order to bring our community together and learn about all we have around us. We are, what we like to call, a "fundraiser for fundraisers", where we provide you the place, the people, and the party! Bring your friends and family to a fun summer evening of donating, food, live music, and a 50/50 raffle. Not only will the track be open for walking/running, the turf will also be lined with local charities who are ready and eager to make connections and collect donations. 

The local organizations include:

- Ben’s Bells
- Closer to Free Ride
- CPR Southbury 
- Otto Strong Forever
- Pomperaug High School 
- Safe Haven  
- Sandy Hook Promise 
- Sustainable Southbury 

**Please note that the complementary sandwich (choice of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato), chips, and water only pertain to those who pre-register. Day-of participants will be welcomed, however, the free Mikee's Place sandwich and the option to purchase a Walking on Sunshine t-shirt will not be available. In addition, t-shirts will only be on sale until May 22.

    Once you have pre-registered, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information. At any time, please feel free to contact us at spreadingsunshine.walk@gmail.com The opportunity to donate will be directly to the charity of your choosing on the day of the event. The organizations will each have booths where you can engage, learn, and support-- we respect how personal this process can be! There will be live music, brought by our Pomperaug High School musicians, as well as snacks, yard-type games, local artists selling their pieces, and a 50/50 raffle, courtesy of our generous Southbury businesses. We would also like to thank our generous sponsors for helping us achieve our goal of spreading sunshine throughout our community, including: Willie's Automotive, The Cottage, Piper and Dune, Black Diamond Media, and Newbury Place.
